• Basil. Basil repels types of beetles, flies, hornworm, and mosquitos. It also is incredibly diverse for kitchen cooking! You’ll find yourself saving lots of money in the long run, as the grocery store sells these fresh for a lot these days.
• Lavender. Lavender is my favorite of this bunch, mostly because of the herbs natural beauty. Lavender oil can be used as a natural repellent from mosquitos, ticks and flies. It will also attract the insects most people love, like ladybugs and butterflies.
• Mint. Mint is a great one for those who fear spiders! Spearmint will keep away spiders, flies and fleas. But keep in mind, mint is highly invasive so if you plant it we suggest to keep it in it’s own container near by.
• Rosemary or Sage. Our last herbs love hot areas so make sure they get lots of sun! Sage is a great one to keep away lots of bugs like moths, beetles, flies and snails. Because the smell of rosemary is so strong, flies and mosquitos won’t come near your property. Rosemary is another herb that looks great as a flowering bush, and it’s a diverse herb for your kitchen!
