Although as of Feb 1, 2018, DeCarlo Landscape Design & Maintenance has discontinued our Residential Landscaping services, we have built long-lasting relationships with our clients for over 40 years! We thank all of our clients past and present and consider ourselves lucky to have had clients like you.

With that said, we couldn’t leave out our residential readers this month in preparing for spring, and we know you will appreciate the information below.

If you’ve relied on a landscaping company in the past, you may not know that taking care of landscaping is a lot more than taking into account sun exposure and watering trends. Here are our easy to follow care tips for your spring landscaping needs.

  • Fertilization: Applying a balanced fertilizer can be really helpful in boosting blooms and keeping your plants happy. Knowing which fertilizer to use for specific trees, shrubs and perennials can be confusing, so ask a local nursery worker or employee to help.
  • Say no to pests: An invasion of insects will not keep your landscaping happy and looking great. Be sure to use fencing and mesh to keep away animals like deer and rabbits from nibbling on your blooms. If other pests are an issue, consider insecticide.
  • Plant Smart: Be sure to examine the packages of your seeds or bulbs. Following planting distance, watering, feeding, and soil drainage requirements are essential.
  • Call In Backup: If you need help starting your spring landscaping, it may be time to call in some local landscaping experts. Although DeCarlo Landscaping Design and Maintenance are no longer servicing residential customers, there are some other great companies in our area. Do your research and good luck!

To all of our past residential landscaping clients, we say thank you so much for your support and it has been wonderful working with you over the years. You can still read our past blog posts on residential landscaping tips and advice for help doing it yourself.
